BENGALURU: Assisted transaction service provider, Payworld has decided to expand its footprint in Karnataka to 15,000 outlets from the present level of 3,000 active outlets by 2017.
Over the next three years, Payworld has set an ambitious target to achieve revenues of Rs 10,000 crore as part of increasing its retail foot print pan India to 300,000 outlets from the current level of 60,000 active outlets with almost 150 million customers using the platform to do these transactions.
Promoted by Sugal and Damani Group, Payworld brings in convenience for the non-tech savvy consumers to recharge their mobile phones, DTH, railway reservations, utility payments and sending money to any bank account in India through its retail touch points.
Payworld is an electronic transaction platform which is currently doing transactions for domestic money remittance, mobile and DTH recharges, railways, air and bus reservation and utility bill collections and assisted e-commerce. Last financial year Payworld had about 88 million customers using their platform through 62,000 active retail touch points spread across the country.
Payworld uses intelligent transaction processing platform developed by in-house technical team, the interface at retailer end is available on computer, mobile (apps for Android, Windows, Java and SMS) having multilingual capabilities.
